Human rights, according to the UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights, are given to every individual, regardless of status, and are interdependent, indivisible and interrelated. Human rights include issues such as gender equality, trafficking, torture, slavery, poverty, housing, and minorities. Due to the diversity of ideologies across countries, human rights can cause conflict as the traditions of one country may contradict another.
