Breakdancing was a spark in hip-hop dancing. It rose to become the, or at least one of the most known dances in the world. Not something being gender, or culture specific. When the crips decided to invent the C-Walk, they was heavily inspired by Hip-Hop style of dances, just like the breakdance (1970s). Of course the crips couldn’t have done such a prominent dance as their signature and symbol of themselves, and so a bit of tweaking led them to a “new era” or type of dancing done with your feet. They called this the C-Walk after it was created. Although not ranking as high as a previously popular dance known as “The Jerk”, many people in or even outside of school used to dance off, and the C-Walk were one of the candidates for the dance. As mentioned before, the “Present-Day” Crip-Walk is known as the Clown-Walk, however what is unknown and often a misconception is weather people
