The Renaissance was the most influential period in history and has helped contribute to many theories and society. The Renaissance was basically two parts, European and Italian both happened between 14th and 16th century.
Renaissance, or Rebirth, was a European period that followed the middle ages. This period of time is very important to many scholars and thinkers, because it was a time of revival of classical learning and wisdom. (“Renaissance”)
The Renaissance was expressed in many different ways, but the first was Humanism, term freely applied to a variety of beliefs, methods, and philosophies that place central emphasis on the human realm. It was boosted when the fall of Constantinople in 1453; many scholars fled to Italy brings important books and manuscripts. Foremost among northern humanists was Desiderius Erasmus, whose Praise of Folly (1509) epitomized the moral essence of humanism in its insistence on heartfelt goodness as opposed to formality piety.
The art is the real spirit of the Renaissance; it was seen as a branch of knowledge, valuable in its own right and capable of providing man with images. They could express their intake of the universe and based art of observation of the visible word. Practiced mathematical principles of balance harmony and perspective.
