'”(Plato, 380 B.C.E). Before psychology was an established school of thought, it 's forefathers spoke of a connection amount the mind, body, and soul. For the purpose of this paper, only the connections between the mind and body will be discussed. The above quote states the importance of understanding the body 's influence on the mind. Interestingly, Plato made this conclusion millenniums before the scientific community could support his claims. Due to the technological advances of today, empirical data showing a distinct connections between the mind and body can now be collected. This paper will examine the influence of general aerobic exercise on moods, perceptions, and state of mind.
