Should Our Right to Bear Arms Be Revoked? “A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed”, the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution. Now we ask the questions, do guns’ kill people or do people kill people? Should our right to bear arms be revoked because an individual makes an unacceptable decision? Is it right that all people be forced to ‘gun control’ because of one person’s actions? Gun laws are the cause of violent crimes in America, these laws need to be changed to make it easier for Americans to purchase, carry them as concealed weapons and better protect ourselves.
The Second Amendment was adopted on December 15, 1791 this gives the right of the people to keep and bear arms. This Amendment was intended to protect the ownership of guns to any able-bodied person so that they could participate in the militia to protect, defend and keep peace to this country if needed. A federal law in 1972 required all men eligible for militia service own a gun and ammunition suitable for military service, report for frequent inspections of their guns and register their gun ownership on public record. In that day and age all people were well trained and ready for combat, to ensure no threats to their fellow citizens.
Gun control does not eliminate violence; it only keeps the ‘good guys’ from obtaining firearms, and allow the bad guys to still have access to guns…
