Obsessive compulsive disorder, people often think of a person that has a very well organized home. However that is not always the case. (OCD) is more than that. It is an anxiety disorder in which a person has undesired thoughts, feeling, ideas, sensations, that lead to compulsion. In order to provide temporary relief, they engage in beliefs to get rid of the obsessive thoughts.
Stacey is a 30 year old unmarried woman without children, and she is living with (OCD). She has an organizational problem, but she also is a hoarder. For example, if is she walking down the street and happens to see’s an expensive glove on the ground, she will not leave it on the side of the road. She doesn 't feel that there is nothing wrong with the glove, and that it is not trash. Her anxiety forms and she thinks one day it could be useful or valuable. She is additionally, afraid if she doesn 't pick it up it will end up in a landfill. She thinks the landfill are already pile with too many things, she doesn 't want to add more thing to it.
Stacey disorder affects her with daily tasks. She is trying to clean and it is very difficult for her when she has to do everything in a particular order. She starts by organizing her writing utensils. She has a certain order for everything. The pens must be in the pen container and pencils must be in the pencil container.
