It was the summer of 2013, I was a young lad only fifteen at the time, hair looking as though I had just rolled out of bed, no taller than our white wooden fence we have home that sits around 5’2, black shoes, black shirt, black shorts all darker than the dead of night. I had but one thought on my mind at the time “music”. I heard the echo of hundreds of different rhythms and songs flow through my mind, a sense of euphoria filed my body making me feel weightless, as though I was being abducted by a greater being, however this feeling soon passed. I found myself staring face first at a field, but not just any field, a field where dreams come true, a field where one can have a sense of accomplishment just by standing on it, a field where friends are made and families are formed, this field was our very own football field. There was a cool breeze that seem to pass through my body and sent a shocking chill straight down my spine. I stepped onto the field and I knew at this very moment nothing else mattered, I was home. Stepping onto this field filled me with joy and anxiety because I knew this year was our year to shine. I stood on the field reminiscing about past memories when I was soon joined by a few of my friends, filled with joy I rush over to greet them, we exchanged a few comments and got into position.
