There are many different philosophies, opinions, and views of the teaching profession. Many people argue with each other which idea is better in the teaching world. With so many different types of views on this topic, combining all sorts of clever ideas helps many teachers all around the world brainstorm on how to help their students grow intellectually throughout their adolescent years and develop into the bright people who form the future world. One purpose of education is to help students learn basic principles that are necessary to know for their future lives. For example, it is crucial for a child to learn how to read, write, add, and subtract. Those basic steps of growing up are required for every good job out there. Without such education, a child will be unable to land a secure job anywhere. Being a cashier requires simple math skills. Helping a customer pick out something on the menu requires simple reading skills. Learning these basic components to life are like learning Spanish I vocabulary words – it is very easy once you get the hang of it and practice learning it. Some specific roles of teachers include connecting with students on an emotional level and behaving in a way that shows students that their teacher is a true leader that knows what he or she is doing. Connecting with students on an emotional level is a great way to keep students engaged in the classroom. An example of this would be telling stories.
