1. Appreciate childhood as a unique and valuable stage of the human life cycle.
Through my studies of early childhood I have a better understanding how imperative it is for each child to have a safe, healthy and well-rounded childhood to make them functional and successful adults. As a teacher, it will be my task to create the secure environment and guide each child through this valuable stage of development. As a mother of an eight year old and a three year old, I have been blessed to watch my children grow and develop through this wonderful and unique chapter of their life. 2. As a teacher, I want to make a difference in my student’s lives. In order to accomplish this, I must treat all students with admiration and appreciate their families. The parents must know that they are welcome to come into the classroom and feel comfortable talking to me about the child. I have a strong belief that one should have a high regard for their colleagues. I was privileged to work with several amazing co-workers at my previous place of employment. We all shared a great respect for one another and it allowed us to provide a wonderful facility to our patients.

The United States has become a very diverse country and as a teacher I will be working with multicultural children and families.
